Welcome to a Sustainable World

OCTW

Stands for Operation Computer Third World.

At one time we wanted to upgrade our systems. There was no place to store the old redundant equipment. The redundant equipment started to occupy useful trading space, we also had a large stock of waste paper. At this point our Director who is an expert in Health Promotion with an interest in sustainable environmental health, he decided to make investigations to establish places in the world that requires intermediate technology. As a result of his research Operation Computer Third World campaign was launched in-house by Imol Ltd in 1998.

Since then we have been collecting redundant equipment from other offices and establishments that where in the same predicament as we ourselves. OCTW  has become a successful campaign that is improving our environment here in Britain and enhancing the living standards and income in the developing world.

What has made the campaign successful is that many offices and companies are becoming environmentally aware of the damage redundant equipment is doing to our world. Not only in the area of releasing dangerous chemicals into the environment when badly disposed of, but also the unnecessary production of equipment that is not required in the developing world while our redundant ones here in the west can serve adequately.

Our African office is situated at 8 Idowu Lane, Off Kodesoh Street, Lagos, Nigeria. At the moment it is our liaison centre for Africa receiving exports for redundant equipment from all over the world.

Here we are currently selling computers at affordable rates to people visiting Lagos' computer village from all over Africa.
